You might be wondering why we’re comparing two toys that look nothing alike. One is wearable and hands-free. The other is a classic handheld bullet.
This comparison isn’t about design categories.
It’s about clitoral stimulation style – how each toy delivers sensation, when it works best, and which kind of pleasure it’s built for.

Ambi is a uniquely designed bullet vibrator made from body-safe silicone and fully waterproof (IPX7). Like all Lovense toys, it connects to the Lovense Remote app, but what makes Ambi stand out is how deliberately its shape breaks from the traditional bullet form.
Instead of a narrow, tapered tip only meant for pinpoint contact, Ambi’s top surface is shaped to sit over and around the labia, distributing vibration across a wider area. That matters, because clitoral stimulation doesn’t exist in isolation. There are nerve endings throughout the vulva, and Ambi is built to engage more of them at once.
Flip the toy around and you get the opposite experience. The backside features what Lovense calls a super-pinpoint tip, designed for those very specific, high-sensitivity spots when broad stimulation feels like too much. It’s a smart dual-function design that gives you options without needing multiple toys.
Despite its small size, Ambi’s motor leans noticeably toward the rumbly end of the spectrum, rather than sharp or buzzy. The handle is simple, but well proportioned – long enough to grip securely, even with lube involved, without adding bulk or gimmicks.

Ferri is a hands-free clit vibrator designed for discreet, hands-free wear. The main body is made from body-safe silicone, while the magnetic cap is ABS plastic. That cap isn’t just an accessory – it’s the reason Ferri works so reliably.
Many panty vibrators rely on tight underwear or pockets to stay in place, which can be frustrating if you wear thongs or looser fabrics. Ferri’s magnetic clip secures the toy exactly where it needs to be, regardless of underwear style or movement. Walking, sitting, dancing – it stays put.
The body has a gentle curve with a raised bump at the front, designed to rest naturally against the clitoris while following the body’s anatomy. It’s also fully waterproof (IPX7) and impressively quiet for a wearable toy.
Out of the box, Ferri offers three intensity levels and seven built-in vibration patterns, with far more available through the app. It’s designed to be worn during public play, around the house, or during foreplay alongside other toys – nipple clamps, anal toys, or anything else you enjoy pairing it with.

Note: Some older packaging includes only a magnetic clip, but newer ones including a standup charging base. Ambi is the exact same toy in both cases. The base was included later on from customer feedback.
Despite their different formats, these two toys share a surprising amount of DNA.
The Lovense Remote app also adds chat, voice calls, video calls, group sync, and dominant/submissive control modes. You can reprogram pattern slots, download from the free pattern library, or create your own. Once connected, control links are easy to reuse, which is why these toys are popular for long-distance relationships and cam use.
I’ve used both of these toys, and before getting into my experience, it’s worth saying this upfront: clitoral play is deeply personal. What works perfectly for one person might fall flat for another, and that doesn’t mean the toy is bad. It just means bodies and preferences differ.
For me, I preferred Ambi.
Both toys have strong motors and both are impressively quiet, but Ambi felt more powerful in practice. I’m someone who likes high-intensity, pinpoint clitoral stimulation, and Ambi gives me that level of precision. I can tilt it, angle it, and apply pressure exactly where I want, which makes a big difference for how quickly and reliably it works for me.
Ferri didn’t quite deliver that same pinpoint intensity.
That doesn’t make it a bad toy, and it’s not one I wouldn’t recommend. I’d absolutely suggest Ferri to someone who prefers gentler clitoral stimulation, enjoys public play, likes wearing a toy around the house, or wants to mix things up with toy combinations during partner play. In those scenarios, I can easily see Ferri becoming a favorite.
As for practical details like charging, cleaning, and overall usability, they’re very similar between the two. Those factors didn’t meaningfully influence my preference either way – it really came down to how the stimulation feels and how much control I want in the moment.
At this point, we’ve covered both the differences and the overlap between Ambi and Ferri, and the takeaway should be clear: this really comes down to personal preference. There’s no universal “better” option here – just different styles of stimulation designed for different people and situations.

There are more than 30 unique Lovense products across toys for women, men, and unisex use, and when it comes to clitoral stimulation specifically, you’re genuinely spoiled for choice.
These are just a few examples, but the point is simple: if Ambi or Ferri doesn’t quite feel like the right fit, that’s completely fine. There are plenty of alternatives worth exploring.
If you’re unsure where to start, take the time to read external reviews and compare practical details like battery life, charging time, and noise levels. Think about the kind of stimulation you know your body responds to.
There are no wrong choices when it comes to your pleasure – only what works best for you.
